TdF day 1 2013 Originally uploaded by knittingkim The tour is off to an interesting start. First day, bus stuck under sign and crash taking out all but one of the major sprinters. gotta love it. Here is my result of the day, Alpaca, about 5 or 6 ounces. I will ply it on Sunday.

I have been a very busy bee on the sewing machine. I have been steadily working on finishing a quilt for my bed. I decided to take my 9-patches and turn them into the Sister's Choice block. 81 blocks later, a little sashing in between, so I could use the quilt as you go method. The hubster had to help keep the quilt on the kitchen table while Isewed the big blocks together. Later, Josey held it in place for the binding. I think it looks very antiquey. Works for me. I love stripes and plaids placed with a nice calico. I even managed a label -- go me!

Than Block 6 Originally uploaded by knittingkim One more Dolly Madison Star. This one turned out so nice. I really love the colors. Block 7 sometime in the next week or so. A start of a new Lady.

Quilty Barn 7 Originally uploaded by knittingkim Pinwheels! Very fast block. I am planning to use the Qulit as You Go method. I think these are a perfect size to play with that technique. There is another 5 more blocks to go. One could still jump in and make this one.
